Classification and use of galvanized coil

Classification
According to the production and processing methods, it can be divided into the following categories:

a) Hot dip galvanized steel coil. The thin steel coil is immersed in the molten zinc bath to make the thin steel coil with a layer of zinc adhere to its surface. At present, it is mainly produced by continuous galvanizing process, that is, galvanized steel coils are made by continuously immersing rolled steel plates in a plating tank with molten zinc;

b) Alloyed galvanized steel coil. This kind of steel coil is also manufactured by the hot dip method, but immediately after it is out of the groove, it is heated to about 500 ℃ to form an alloy coating of zinc and iron. This galvanized coil has good paint adhesion and weldability;

c) electro galvanized sheet metal coils. The galvanized steel coil produced by the electroplating method has good workability. However, the coating is thinner, and the corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot-dip galvanized coils;

d) Single-sided and double-sided differentially galvanized steel coils. Single-sided galvanized steel coils, i.e. products that are galvanized on only one side. It has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized coils in welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, processing, etc. In order to overcome the shortcoming of uncoated zinc on one side, there is another galvanized coil coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, that is, double-sided differential galvanized coil;

e) Alloy, composite galvanized steel coil. It is a steel coil made of zinc and other metals such as lead and zinc, or even composite plated. This steel coil has both excellent anti-rust properties and good coating properties.

In addition to the above five, there are color coated galvanized steel coil, printing coated galvanized steel coils, PVC laminated galvanized steel coils, etc. But the most commonly used is still Hot dip galvanized steel coil

Galvanized steel coils can be divided into general use, roof use, building outer panel use, structural use, tile ridge panel use, drawing use and deep drawing.

The reason why the surface of the galvanized coil is coated with a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel is actually because the steel plate is easily oxidized by oxides such as water in the air, and thus corroded, and a layer of zinc is actually plated to better protect the steel. Galvanized coil has two major advantages, one is adhesion and the other is weldability. It is because of these two advantages that it has been widely used in construction, industry, automotive industry and commercial fields. Another important feature is corrosion resistance, which can produce good results in the manufacture of home appliance housings.
